We make a joyful noise (Psalm 66:1, 81:1, 95:2, 98:4–6, 100:1).
We use many different instruments (Psalm 150).
We are loud and we are quiet. Psalm 95:1 & 6 say, “Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. … Come let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our God our Maker.”
We advocate wholehearted worship. 1 Chronicles 28:9 says “serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you;”
We acknowledge that worship is more than music. 1 Corinthians 13:1 says, “If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.”
